This policy has been carefully developed to clearly define the terms, procedures, and expectations associated with such returns.

This Return & Refund Policy applies strictly to defective or damaged products. We do not accept returns for reasons such as change of mind, incorrect sizing, customer misjudgment of design, or any non-defect-related issues. As a business operating in the furniture industry, we take special precautions during packaging and delivery to ensure that all items arrive in perfect condition. However, due to the nature of large-scale logistics and material handling, isolated incidents of product defects or transport damage can occasionally occur. This policy addresses those situations specifically.


2. Conditions for Accepting Returns

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met in full:

  • Reporting Window : The issue must be reported within 2 calendar days of the product’s delivery. Reports received beyond this window will not be eligible for review.
  • Proof of Defect : The customer is required to provide clear photographic evidence or a video demonstrating the damage or defect. This helps us validate the claim with our internal logistics and quality control teams.

  • Product Condition : The item in question must be:
  1. Completely unused
  2. Not assembled or installed
  3. In its original packaging along with all included accessories, manuals, labels, and protective materials
  4. Verification Process: Once your request is submitted, our team will review the documentation provided. We may contact you for additional information or clarification before confirming eligibility for return.


3. Non-Returnable Scenarios

To avoid any misunderstanding, the following are explicitly non-returnable and non-refundable under any circumstance:

  • Products that have been used, installed, assembled, or altered in any way after delivery
  • Items returned without original packaging, including protective foam, cardboard, or covering
  • Orders with missing components, accessories, or documentation
  • Customized, made-to-order, or special order products
  • Items sold under clearance, promotional, or final-sale offers
  • Delays in delivery that occur due to incorrect address details or customer unavailability

Customers are encouraged to thoroughly inspect the product at the time of delivery and ensure that all specifications are met before accepting the order.


4. Return Procedure

If you receive a defective product, please follow the step-by-step process outlined below:

  • Submit Evidence

Our support team will acknowledge receipt of your request and initiate an internal review. This review typically takes 1–2 business days, after which we will inform you of the next steps.

  • Return Instructions Issued (if approved)
If your claim is approved, we will provide return drop-off location details. At this time, Barakat Home does not offer home pickup for returns, unless the defect renders the item immovable or dangerous.

  • Inspection & Final Approval
Once the product is returned, our inspection team will verify its condition. If the defect or damage is confirmed, a refund or replacement will be issued based on availability and your preference.


5. Refund Processing

  • Processing Time : Approved refunds will be processed within 3 business days from the date of return confirmation.
  • Refund Method : All refunds are credited back to the original method of payment only. We do not offer cash refunds or refunds to alternative payment channels.
  • Payment Provider Timelines : Please note that while we initiate refunds promptly, additional processing time may be required by your bank, credit card provider, or digital wallet service.


6. Return Shipping & Responsibility

  • If the product is confirmed to be defective or incorrectly delivered, Barakat Home will bear all return shipping costs.
  • However, if the product is returned without valid grounds (such as customer misuse, assembly damage, or change of mind), the customer will be liable for any associated return logistics, and the refund will be rejected.
  • In cases where products are sent back without prior approval, Barakat Home reserves the right to refuse acceptance and return the item at the customer’s expense.


7. Product Inspection at Delivery

We strongly advise all customers to inspect their products at the time of delivery. If any damage or defect is noticed:

  • Do not assemble or use the item
  • Take immediate photographs
  • Notify our team without delay

Accepting delivery without inspection may result in a forfeiture of eligibility for return or compensation.
