Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Custom & Made-to-Order Cancellation Policy

Because Barakat Home creates handcrafted, custom-sized, and specially manufactured furnishings, orders cannot normally be canceled once manufacturing or material cutting has begun. Any request for cancellation post-confirmation requires written approval from management.

2. Standard Catalog Items

Standard, uncustomized items that have not entered processing, crating, or dispatch may be canceled subject to approval. In such approved cases, actual merchant gateway costs, processing charges, and logistics overhead incurred by Barakat Home will be deducted from the refunded sum.

3. Returns & Change of Mind

Returns based solely on a change of mind are not accepted. Due to the scale, bespoke finishes, and precision electronics of our pieces, items cannot be returned simply due to personal preference changes after delivery or production.

4. Legitimate Return & Repair Conditions

A return, replacement, or repair is considered only when an item:

• Has a verified structural or mechanical defect confirmed by our technical team.
• Sustained physical damage during delivery prior to handover by our team.
• Diverges materially from confirmed dimensions or agreed finishes.
• Is covered by applicable UAE consumer protection statutory mandates.

Where a minor defect can be fully restored without affecting appearance or performance, artisan repair is our primary remedy.

5. Refund Settlement Timeline

Approved refunds are returned exclusively via the original payment method. Processing timelines are governed by your banking provider (typically 7–14 business days).
